Families, friends, and dozens of four-legged legends turning @watsonia.shops into a full-blown Halloween playground 🎃
Halloween 2025 - What. A. Night! 👻
It started with rain - because of course it did. But by the time the sun broke through, Watsy Square was buzzing. From 3.00pm to 7.00pm, the streets filled with colour, music, and more costumes than you could count. Families, friends, and dozens of four-legged legends turned the Watsonia Shops precinct into a full-blown Halloween playground 🎃
Everywhere you looked, something was happening - stilt-walking mad scientists, a zombie bride, bubbles drifting through the air, and faces painted in every shade of spooky. Our traders went all-out too, dressing up, decorating their stores, and handing out thousands of lollies with that trademark Watsy warmth.
And yes, the rumours are true… we had almost 20 boxes of lollies this year (double last year’s stash) and still ran out. When the butterscotch came out, we knew it: Watsy left no crumbs. 🍬
It was beautiful to see the Town Square overflowing with locals - barely a patch of grass left. The laughter, the colour, the buzz… moments like this remind us why we do what we do: to bring joy, connection, and a little Watsy magic to our main street.
And yes, we’re already dreaming about next Halloween on Saturday 31 October 2026… when the other side opens.
More space. More fun. More Watsonia. 🧡
All of it - from the planning to the costumes to the last butterscotch lolly - was made possible by locals, for locals. No big productions. No outside organisers. Just people who love where we live, where we work, and where we belong.

Diary of a Watsonia Dog 🐾
Today started like any other.
I followed my human from room to room, rolled in a sunny patch in the backyard, then insisted on belly rubs before our walk to @watsonia.shops
But then… we went to @furbabies_pet_grooming
and that’s where the magic happened.
I got the full works - washed, brushed, tidied up and treated with so much care I almost forgot I was meant to wriggle.
By the time I hopped on the chair for my bowtie moment, I felt fluffy, fresh and ready for anything (especially more treats and pats).
They call it pampering. I call it living my best life in Watsonia.

⭐Works will occur in the intersection day and night during this time to minimise overall disruption to the area.
⭐Watsonia Road (south and north end) during this time, although no through access.
The Watsonia Shops will still be open for business during this time and welcomes you! 😃❤
